Shahid n Priyanka Chopra Break Up

Rumours have it that Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor who were ‘good friends’ during the making of Kaminey, are no longer on talking terms.

But destiny continues to play cruel games with them. First of all, both actors are currently shooting in Thailand for different films.

Shahid is there with Anushka Sharma for Parmeet Sethi’s untitled venture, while Priyanka is with Ranbir Kapoor for Sajid Nadiadwala’s Anjaana Anjaani.  Should their paths cross, guess the two will have to be make PC (polite conversation).

Coincidences continue.In Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion, Priyanka Chopra who played a model displayed a mobile number on screen at every audition that she did in the film.

Now Shahid Kapoor who is playing a film aspirant in Ken Ghosh’s Chance Pe Dance was also spotted displaying the same mobile number in the  theatrical trailer that is being aired with Karan Johar’s Kurbaan. Guess neither Priyanka nor Shahid would want it this way.

However it just happens that both their films Fashion and Chance Pe Dance are being presented by the same film corporation(UTV).

And the unimaginative creative team must have taken the liberty of passing of what was once Priyanka to Shahid.

So, does this number belong to Shahid Kapoor or Priyanka Chopra? It so happens that since both the films have been made by the same production house, there is also the likelihood that someone in production has played a prank and used the same number for both the films, even though the two shoots had nothing in common, in terms of time or place.

A little probing revealed that the number displayed on both Shahid and PC’s audition board actually belongs to Ram Mirchandani, who was once on board UTV and is now with another corporate.

Soon after Fashion released, a harangued Ram had complained that he was getting a hundred phone calls a day of people who thought that it was PC’s number in real life.

Now one wonders whether Ram will still continue to get as many phone calls, after people see the number displayed by Shahid, who is currently riding a wave.

A source says, “If it had struck Shahid that the number he was holding on the slate is the the same one that Priyanka had used in Fashion, he would probably have asked the writers to change it. Now he has just to live with the fact that what was once Priyanka’s is now his.” By default, if not by design.
